Sunday Coffee ☕️ #0005

August 9, 2020

Good morning!

This week, I did nothing.

Stayed off social media, didn't write, didn't even workout much. I just didn't feel like it.

Here I am, sipping and enjoying my morning coffee while having a 2 hour long conversation with a friend living in Canada. We were just catching up on life and reminiscing simpler and happier times before the world was on lockdown.

If you're getting tired of being locked in your house all day everyday, I suggest you call a friend. It's left me feeling refreshed :)

For next week, I'm working on a piece titled - Building your first micro-SaaS app on Shopify

The piece is aimed at first-time entrepreneurs who want to build their first micro-SaaS app, with the aim of supplementing their current job income, or even to earn a full-time income that replaces their job completely.

A broad outline of the piece:

  • Why choose Shopify for your first micro-SaaS (and why you shouldn't)
  • Validating a Shopify app idea by guesstimating installs and revenue of an app
  • Standing out from competition (or identify if the competition is too strong)
  • Optimal app UX for Shopify merchants
  • Delivering great customer support and receiving authentic reviews
  • Figuring out pricing and optimising for trials

I have a question for you - if you are planning to build a Shopify app, what are your top questions that I should answer in the post?

Reply to the email and let me know.

Until next time!

By the way, I teach a course called Learn Programmatic SEO to help grow Google search traffic.

Programmatic SEO is a methodical and data-driven approach to finding keywords, understanding user intent and creating dozens or hundreds of pages of content.

Learn how to apply this framework to your business, whether it's ecommerce, SaaS, or even a side project. No prior SEO knowledge required.
